Get Better Results from ChatGPT with This Simple Trick

This simple trick takes AI answers to the next level

Hey there!

I recently watched a video by Andrew Lane that introduced a super-easy way to get more out of AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude AI.

It was so useful that I had to share it with you.

The trick? It’s called Answer Leveling.
Here’s how it works:

By default, AI tools often give simple answers to save processing power. But you can easily get more thoughtful and detailed responses without complicated prompts.

All you need to do is ask the AI to "level up" its answer.

How It Works

Start with a basic question or task. For example, let’s say you’re planning a vacation and ask, "What are some travel destinations for a family vacation?"

The AI will give you a decent response at first—maybe a list of popular destinations like Disney World, Paris, or the Grand Canyon. This is what Andrew calls a "Level 1" answer. It’s good, but it’s just scratching the surface.

Here’s the magic: After getting that first response, simply say something like, "That’s great. Can you give me a Level 2 answer that goes deeper?"

At Level 2, the AI might start including specific tips, like the best months to visit, hidden gems at those destinations, or family-friendly itineraries.

If you want even more detail, you can push further: "Now take this to Level 3 and give me the most advanced or unique recommendations."

At Level 3, the AI could suggest off-the-beaten-path destinations, budget-saving hacks, or even how to create a travel plan tailored to your family’s interests.

Why This Works

AI tools prioritize simplicity to save processing costs, but by asking for more advanced answers, you can make them work harder for you—without needing fancy prompts or technical know-how.

Try It Out

This approach isn’t just for travel—it works for anything:

  • Business: Generate creative marketing ideas.

  • Writing: Improve drafts or brainstorm unique story ideas.

  • Productivity: Get deeper analysis or strategies for your goals.
